Every student at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine can (and should!) FPC rodeo has goat tying jackpots weekly and attends various jackpots in Texas and Oklahoma throughout the semester. Sophomore Bryce Batterton drew a hard running steer to place 6th in the Short round and 6th in the average of the Steer-Wrestling. Sophomore Baylee Paul from Arcadia, FL also made the championship Short Round in the Goat-Tying placing 4th in the long round, 9th in the average, & 9th in the short round; Baylee also had an outstanding breakaway run placing 12th out of 140 contestant entries. Holcomb then finished scored a 74 point ride in a the Short Round to win 3rd in the round & 8th in the average. Other highlights from ENMU was Freshman Sierra Smith who finished 25th out of 147 in breakaway, Freshman Laramie Mahan 33rd out of 147 in breakaway, and Freshman Amber Willey 45th out of 147 in breakaway. Overall the Frank Phillips rodeo team is off to a strong start that will only keep improving.
